Lock Haven University Athletics issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
Lock Haven University graduate and current pro runner Ben Robinson recently found success at the USA Track & Field 50-kilometer trail championship in Danbury, New Hampshire.
On August 8, Robinson blazed through the difficult mountain course and finished in second place as he clocked a time of 4:41.00 over the 31.06-mile trail course.
Ben Robinson was a former cross country and track and field athlete LHU and a key member of the Bald Eagles cross country team that won three consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) titles from 2013-15. In 2015, the standout Bald Eagle collected the 10,000-meter title at the PSAC Championships for Track and field with a time of 31:31.00.
Robinson now turned pro runner, been finding success in trail races after his graduation from Lock Haven in 2016. After competing in events across the globe, Robinson signed a deal with the running company Hoka One One earlier this year.
