Penn College sophomore Shawn Townsend has been recognized by D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings as a member of the NCAA Division III Region IV Third Team. The announcement was made this week.

Townsend, hailing from Hatboro, Pennsylvania, received United East first team honors following a standout season. He led the Wildcats in several key categories: hits (50), doubles (13), and RBIs (33). Additionally, he was second in the lineup with a .410 batting average and a .582 slugging percentage. His performance placed him eighth in the league for batting average and 16th for slugging percentage. He also achieved the 21st highest on-base percentage for the season, highlighted by seven games with three hits each.
