Senate committees to hold joint hearing on resource adequacy and generation investment

The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, led by Senator Gene Yaw, and the Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee, headed by Senator Pat Stefano, are set to conduct a joint public hearing. The session is scheduled for Monday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., taking place in Room 8-EB of the State Capitol.

The focus of the hearing will be on resource adequacy, PJM’s Reliability Resource Initiative applications, and the market for generation investment. Several organizations are slated to provide testimony during the hearing. These include representatives from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, PJM Interconnection, GT Power Group, Homer City Redevelopment, Constellation Energy Corporation, and Talen Energy Corporation.
