The Senate Majority Policy Committee, led by Senator Dave Argall, will convene in Canonsburg next week to explore technological innovations aimed at improving healthcare access across Pennsylvania. The meeting is scheduled for March 19 from 1-3 p.m. at Waynesburg University’s Southpointe Center.

Senator Camera Bartolotta emphasized the region’s role as a hub for medical technology, stating, “Our region provides an abundant source of the best medical technology in the country that continues to evolve at a breakneck pace.” She highlighted the need to leverage these advancements for better healthcare outcomes, particularly for children and seniors reliant on Medicaid.

Argall expressed concern over healthcare accessibility, noting, “No one in Pennsylvania should be required to travel hundreds of miles to a major city to receive quality healthcare.” He anticipates discussions on integrating emerging technologies into hospitals statewide.

The hearing will feature contributions from lawmakers, healthcare professionals, and industry experts. It will be available via livestream on the Senate Majority Policy Committee’s website.
