The Senate Majority Policy Committee, led by Senator Dave Argall, will convene in Glenfield next week to discuss initiatives aimed at connecting Pennsylvania veterans with workforce programs and services. The session is organized at the invitation of Senator Devlin Robinson.

Scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, from 1-3 p.m., the public hearing will be held at the Glenfield Valley Veterans Association on East Beaver Street. The event aims to address the challenges faced by veterans as they transition back into civilian life.

Senator Robinson emphasized the importance of supporting veterans in their reintegration process. “Supporting veterans as they integrate back into civilian life is crucial for their overall wellbeing,” he stated. He expressed gratitude towards Chairman Argall and other panelists who share his commitment to ensuring that veterans receive adequate healthcare and employment resources.

Chairman Argall echoed these sentiments, highlighting the significance of aiding veterans in finding meaningful employment and accessing available services. “Helping our veterans find meaningful employment and connecting them with the many services available to them is the least we can do when they return home to their families,” Argall said.

The hearing will feature participation from local nonprofits, union representatives, government officials, and other groups focused on assisting veterans in adapting to civilian life. It will also be livestreamed on the Senate Majority Policy Committee’s website.

For further information, contacts are Jim Brugger for Senator Argall and Allison Dutrey for Senator Robinson.
