The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to meet on March 24, 2025, to discuss several bills related to environmental regulations. The meeting will take place in the Rules Committee Conference Room immediately following the floor session.

The agenda includes four bills for consideration. SB 109, introduced by Laughlin, seeks to amend the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act of November 26, 1978. This bill aims to update definitions and address projects impacting submerged lands within the Commonwealth.

SB 349, sponsored by Yaw, proposes amendments to Title 27 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes concerning environmental protection. It focuses on establishing procedures for the decommissioning of solar energy facilities.

Yaw has also introduced SB 403 and SB 404. SB 403 aims to modify the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act by setting conditions for continuous maintenance permits issuance. Meanwhile, SB 404 seeks authorization for county conservation districts to issue stream reconstruction emergency permits under the same act.

The meeting will begin with a call to order and roll call to establish a quorum before proceeding with discussions on these legislative proposals. Closing remarks will conclude the session before adjournment.
