Penn College senior Sara Darlington has been named the United East Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of the season, according to an announcement from the league on Monday. This is Darlington’s second time receiving this recognition during the current season, with her previous honor coming earlier in October.

During the week, Darlington led her team’s offense by scoring five goals as Penn College posted a 3-0-1 record. She scored two goals against Valley Forge on Tuesday and added two more against Lancaster Bible on Saturday. In the regular season finale, she contributed another goal against Cedar Crest, helping secure Penn College’s position as the No. 3 seed in the upcoming United East Playoffs.

Darlington concluded the regular season with a team-leading 18 goals, which places her second among all players in the conference.

The Wildcats will begin their postseason run in the United East Playoffs Quarterfinals on Saturday, November 1. They are set to host No. 6 seed Penn State Abington at 1:30 p.m.
