Penn College’s Ryan Twist has been recognized as the United East Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. The announcement was made on Monday by the league.

Twist, a sophomore goalie from Great Meadows, N.J., received his second defensive award this season. His performance included a career-high 20 saves during a 13-7 win against Shenandoah. Twist achieved a .741 save percentage, gathered six ground balls, and caused two turnovers in what marked his fifth consecutive victory. His efforts have reduced his season goals-against average to 9.77.
