Penn College senior Peyton Mussina has been recognized as the United East Men’s Golfer of the Week. The announcement was made on Tuesday following his performance at the Gettysburg Spring Shootout. This marks the first time this spring and the 11th time in his career that Mussina has earned this weekly accolade.

During the Gettysburg Spring Shootout, Mussina posted scores of 73-73, totaling 146 (+2), securing a seventh-place finish among 54 participants. He showcased strong skills on the course, emerging as the second-best golfer on Par 4s with an even score and tying for second place with a 3-under score on Par 5s. Throughout the event, Mussina managed to score seven birdies and one eagle at the Penn National Golf Club, which features a par 72, 6,972-yard course.

The reigning United East Golfer of the Year, Mussina, is set to lead the Wildcats, who are defending conference champions, into the 2025 UE championship tournament. This event will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Chambersburg Country Club.
