Penn College’s tennis teams faced defeat against Penn State Harrisburg with 7-0 scores in United East matches held on Wednesday. The losses left the Penn College men’s team with a record of 1-2 in the United East Conference (UE) and 2-7 overall. Meanwhile, Penn State Harrisburg’s men’s team improved to a record of 5-0 in the UE and 10-5 overall.

In the women’s matches, Penn College now holds a 2-2 UE record and is 2-9 overall. Penn State Harrisburg’s women’s team stands at 5-1 in the UE and shares an overall record of 10-5.

The Penn College men’s team saw competition during the matches, notably from John Finnegan at No. 3 singles, who lost with a score of 2-6, 4-6, and Hunter Knosky at No. 6 singles with a 4-6, 1-6 result. In doubles, the pair of Logan Ogden and Kyle Shuler at No. 2 played competitively, losing in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-1).

For the women’s team, Harrisburg claimed victory in all singles and doubles matches, winning two by forfeit.
