Penn College’s women’s tennis team was defeated in a match against Notre Dame (Md.) University, with a final score of 5-2 in the United East match on Friday. Following this match, Penn College holds a 2-5 record in United East play and is 2-12 overall, while Notre Dame also has a 2-5 record in conference play and a 2-7 record overall.

During the encounter, Notre Dame secured victories in four singles matches and two of the three doubles matches. Notable performances from Penn College included singles wins by Ellen Buckley at the No. 1 position and Lauren Peck at the No. 2 position. Buckley and Peck also achieved a victory together at No. 1 doubles.

The next match for Penn College is a home game against Lancaster Bible College, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday.
