Penn College’s women’s tennis team secured its first victory of the season with a 4-3 win over Kean University in a nonconference match held in Union, New Jersey, on Friday. This result brings Penn College’s record to 1-5, while Kean falls to 1-2.

The Wildcats clinched the win by taking four out of six singles matches. Victories came from Lauren Peck at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1), Faith Murray at No. 3 (6-2, 6-2), Leah Vest at No. 4 (6-0, 6-1), and Kiera Wene at No. 5 (6-4, 6-3).

Penn College will continue its season with an away match against Susquehanna University scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.
