Penn College women’s soccer falls to Dickinson in nonconference match

Penn College’s women’s soccer team lost 2-0 to Dickinson College in a nonconference match on Wednesday night at UPMC Field. The Wildcats now have a record of 12 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws. Dickinson, which is ranked sixth in the United Soccer Coaches Region V poll, improved its record to 10 wins, 3 losses, and 3 draws.

Dickinson scored its first goal in the 17th minute to take a lead into halftime. The Red Devils added another goal in the 64th minute.

Penn College goalkeeper Morgan Solano recorded a career-high 15 saves during the match. Dickinson outshot Penn College by a wide margin, with 28 total shots compared to Penn College’s seven; shots on goal were 17 for Dickinson and four for Penn College.

The Wildcats will finish their regular season with two matches: they host Lancaster Bible on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., then travel to Cedar Crest for an away game on Sunday at noon.
