Penn College men’s soccer opens season with shutout victory over Centenary

Penn College’s men’s soccer team began its 2025 season with a 3-0 win over Centenary in a nonconference match at UPMC Field on Friday. The Wildcats now hold a 1-0 record, while the Cyclones start their season at 0-1.

The first goal came in the 11th minute when Cooper Smith delivered a corner kick that Robert Antonini headed into the net. In the 24th minute, Justin Boring provided a set piece service to Joshua Huday, who scored to double Penn College’s lead. Just over a minute later, Hudak assisted Garrett Gill for the team’s third goal.

Penn College controlled much of the match, outshooting Centenary by an 18-7 margin and putting eight shots on target compared to Centenary’s one. The Wildcats also had six corner kicks against two from their opponent.

Goalkeeper Justin Crismale made one save to secure the shutout and earn his first win of the season.

Penn College is scheduled to play again Saturday at 4 p.m., hosting King’s College.
