Penn College’s men’s golf team secured its fourth consecutive United East Conference Fall Preview victory at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Thursday. The Wildcats posted a team score of 308, outperforming seven other teams.
Gunner Redmond led Penn College with an even-par 72, including an eagle and two birdies. Redmond topped a field of 47 golfers to claim medalist honors for the Wildcats for the fourth year in a row. “With Redmond carding an eagle and two birdies en route to an even-par 72 and topping a field of 47 golfers, the Wildcats outdid seven other teams over the 7,121-yard course,” according to the team.
Other notable performances for Penn College included Chase Dillman, who shot a 74 to tie for second place; Brady Handy, who finished with a 78 and tied for ninth; Brett Keenan, who shot an 84 and tied for 23rd; and Logan Gawlinski, who ended with an 88 to finish in 33rd place. Only the lowest four scores contributed to the team’s total.
In team standings, Penn State Harrisburg finished second with a score of 310. Lancaster Bible College followed at third with a score of 315. Other participating teams included Rutgers-Camden (318), Penn State Berks (324), Penn State Brandywine (339), Wilson College (347), and Penn State Abington (348).
The Wildcats will next compete at the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic hosted by Penn State Altoona on Sunday and Monday at Sinking Valley Country Club.
