Penn College men’s lacrosse team achieved a 26-2 victory over Cairn University in their United East matchup on Saturday. The Wildcats had a commanding start with a 12-goal first period, setting a program record with their 12-win season and securing a spot in the United East playoffs. Penn College now holds a 2-1 record in the conference and 12-4 overall, while Cairn remains winless with a 0-4 conference record and 0-11 overall.
The Wildcats maintained their offensive prowess throughout the game, scoring four more goals in the second period, seven in the third, and three in the fourth. Cairn managed to score two goals in the final period.
Aidan McFalls initiated the scoring early in the game, while Owen Kupsey spearheaded the offense with five goals. Elliot Dotson contributed with a hat trick and four assists, and AJ Dotson supported with three goals and an assist. The Wildcats executed 54 shots on goal and limited Cairn to just five. Antonio Santora excelled with a perfect 9 of 9 in faceoffs and 10 ground balls, while Levi Borkowski and Brody Borkowski also showed strong performances in faceoffs. Ryan Twist, starting in goal, made one save and was credited with the win, while Fisher Makuch recorded two saves.
