Penn College’s golf team secured fifth place in the 13-team Moselem Cup tournament. The event, which took place at Moselem Springs Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, concluded on a cold and windy Tuesday.

After the first round on Monday, where they shot a 313, Penn College’s team improved with a 318 in the second round on the par-70, 6,475-yard course. Their overall score of 631 left them just one stroke away from tying for third place.

On the individual front, Peyton Mussina led the Wildcats with consistent rounds of 76, finishing tied for seventh among 69 competitors. Gunner Redmond came in 11th with scores of 76 and 79, while Will Orwig, Logan Gawlinski, and Brady Handy ranked 26th, 33rd, and 39th, respectively.

The team championship was claimed by Allegheny, scoring 611 over the two rounds, followed by Stevens Institute and Arcadia. Penn College rounded out the top five teams.

Individually, Ferrum’s Tiaan Diedericks topped the leaderboard with scores of 71 and 76, while Arcadia’s Chad Maurer, despite a strong opening round of 69, finished with a score of 151 after a challenging 82 on the second day.

Next, Penn College will participate in the Seagull Spring Invitational at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, Maryland, scheduled for Sunday and Monday.
