Penn College defeats Shenandoah 16-1 in men’s lacrosse nonconference match

Penn College defeated Shenandoah 16-1 in a nonconference men’s lacrosse game on Friday afternoon in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. With this result, the Wildcats improved their season record to 5-1, while the Hornets fell to 2-4.

The Wildcats took control early by scoring the first ten goals of the game and led 10-1 at halftime. Elliot Dotson recorded a hat-trick in the first period, with additional goals from Aiden McFalls, John Dolezal, and Daniel Kalizak contributing to a 6-0 lead after fifteen minutes. Owen Kupsey added his own hat-trick during the second period with goals at 11:05, 7:44, and 2:24. Penn College continued their performance after halftime by scoring four times in the third quarter and twice more in the fourth.

Dotson finished with seven points and Kupsey with five to lead Penn College offensively. John Dolezal scored two goals as well. The team also saw contributions from seven other scorers. On defense, Colten Hajicek, Austin Callahan, and Pat Maychak each caused two turnovers.

In goal, Ryan Twist made seven saves for Penn College while Adam Hammond added five saves. Antonio Santora won five out of eight faceoffs.

Penn College Wildcats Men’s Lacrosse participates in college athletics as part of the United East Conference according to their official website. The team hosts its games at UPMC Field in Williamsport.

Next up for Penn College is a matchup against North Central at Transylvania on Monday at 1 p.m.
