Leah Vest named United East Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Penn College’s Leah Vest has received her first United East Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award, according to an announcement made Tuesday.

Vest, from Muncy, Pennsylvania, achieved consecutive victories in the No. 4 singles position during matches against Kean University and Susquehanna University. She also recorded a 1-1 record at No. 2 doubles in those contests.

Against Kean, Vest secured her first career singles win with a score of 6-0, 6-1. Alongside Faith Murray, she contributed to a 7-6 (7-4) doubles victory at the No. 2 position, helping the Wildcats defeat the Cougars by a score of 4-3. On Sunday, Vest continued her success with a 6-3, 6-2 singles win at Susquehanna.
