Penn College’s second baseman, Jaiden Augustine, has been named the United East Baseball Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league on Monday. This marks the first time a player from the conference has received this honor since Cameron Dick was awarded it on April 11, 2022.

Augustine delivered an impressive performance over six games for the Wildcats, achieving a batting average of .550 with 11 hits out of 20 at-bats. He contributed significantly to his team’s success with 11 RBIs, nine runs scored, one double, one triple, and two stolen bases. Notably, during a game against Penn State York on Tuesday, Augustine excelled by going 3-for-3 at bat with five RBIs and two runs scored. His efforts included hitting a double and securing a stolen base in their 15-5 victory.

In addition to his performance against Penn State York, Augustine also stood out in the United East opener against Valley Forge on Saturday. Over two games, he achieved a combined batting record of 5-for-7 (.714) with five RBIs and six runs scored.
