Penn College senior Walt Heiser has been recognized with the United East Conference Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week award for the final week of the season, as announced on Monday. This marks Heiser’s second weekly recognition of the season and the fourth for the Wildcats this year.

Heiser’s performance was pivotal in the Wildcats’ recent 28-3 victory against Bryn Athyn. As a senior defenseman, Heiser was instrumental in causing three turnovers and collecting two ground balls during the match held on Senior Day. The Wildcats limited the Lions to just eight shots in the game. Heiser concluded the regular season as the team leader among defenders with 37 ground ball pickups and ranked seventh on the team with 11 caused turnovers.
