State Senator Gene Yaw and State Representative Tina Pickett announced that a grant of $205,600 has been awarded for the rehabilitation of the Wysox Community Park Boat Launch in Bradford County. The funding comes from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s Boating Facility Grant Program.
“Improving the Wysox Community Park Boat Launch is an important investment in outdoor recreation in our region,” said Senator Yaw. He noted that this improvement will facilitate better public access to the Susquehanna River, benefiting residents, sportsmen, and visitors.
Representative Pickett remarked, “The Wysox Community Park Boat Launch is a community staple. I am so happy to see that grant dollars will be awarded to update, improve and enhance the current launch and surrounding area – which will guarantee many more years of use and recreation for the families and individuals of the 110th District.”
The funding for Wysox Community Park Boat Launch is part of a group of 16 projects funded in the 2024 grant round. The project includes regrading and replacing the existing motorboat launch, with additional work on parts of the parking lot and the turnaround areas.
The Boating Facility Grant Program aims to support the planning, acquisition, development, expansion, and rehabilitation of public boating facilities across the commonwealth, ensuring high-quality recreational boating experiences in Pennsylvania.
