Elliot Dotson and Ben Malarkey of Penn College were recognized on Apr. 20 by the United East Conference with weekly men’s lacrosse awards, according to a league announcement. Dotson was named Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Malarkey earned his first Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Dotson led Penn College’s offense with a total of 14 points over two victories against SUNY Brockport and Cairn. In Friday’s match against SUNY Brockport, he recorded two goals and four assists during a 19-11 win. On Saturday versus Cairn, Dotson achieved eight points—four goals and four assists—in a 25-8 conference victory.
Malarkey contributed significantly to defense across both games by causing four turnovers and collecting seven ground balls. Against SUNY Brockport, he caused one turnover and picked up three ground balls. During Saturday’s game against Cairn on Senior Day, Malarkey posted season-highs with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
