Baseball team’s balanced season ends with multiple player honors

The 2024-25 baseball season concluded with a balanced record of 18 wins and 18 losses. Under the guidance of Coach Chris Howard, now in his 19th season with a career record of 377-283, the team showed commendable performance.

During the UE regular season, the team secured an 11-5 record, finishing fourth and advancing to the playoffs as the fourth seed. Several players received postseason honors for their performances. Dallas Griess from Williamsport and Shawn Townsend from Hatboro were named to the UE first team. Matt Munoz from Tobyhanna and Jaydon Goebel from Honey Brook earned spots on the UE second team. Levi Purnell from Snow Shoe was selected for the UE third team and also received recognition as UE Rookie of the Year.

Brandon Shane from Boyertown was honored by being named to the UE All-Sportsmanship Team. Additionally, Shawn Townsend was recognized by D3baseball.com as part of their All-Region IV third team and also by the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division III All-Region Mid-Atlantic third team.

Overall, this season marked several individual achievements within a competitive league framework.
